The brief for this holiday apartment
was to design a child-friendly, yet sophisticated holiday space. The spaces have
a good quality light, and are airy with beautiful views, so I kept the window
treatments light and breezy, the palette neutral and added pops of colour to each
Furniture in the living area is upholstered in leather and
vinyl for practicality, and there are no sharp edges, where kids can hurt themselves.
Some natural elements were added, like the rug that resembles ripples in beach
sand, and log side tables.
The overall feel is fresh, modern with an organic twist. It
perfectly mirrors the relaxed, beachy location of this seaside holiday home.
